Block Print

The block print is essentially a stamp. It is created by carving out a reverse design in a thin linoleum block. Then ink is rolled out onto the elevated design, and the block is rolled through a press. The original image is displayed on a piece of paper that was placed on the block as it went through the press.

Book Pages

This piece of art was created by reading over a book page and selecting certain words you want to have highlighted. Once you choose these words, then you surround them with a painting or drawing that correlates to the words.

1pt Perspective House

Working off of the 1pt perspective box drawing, this is the inside of a house using the same features. inside of the mirror in the middle of the room is the vanishing point

Obama Side View

The second part of the portrait project. I think this one came out pretty good as well, however, as in the front view portrait, the size of the presidents head is a little disproportionate.

Obama front view

One of the first serious projects. Done by creating a grid on the original photo of Obama, then matching that grid with the one on the paper above. The drawing came out very well except his forehead is quite large.

1pt perspective boxes

This is a drawing practicing the use of perspective, the dot in the center of the page on the horizon line is the "vanishing point. The purpose of this drawing to make it seem like all of the boxes are being pulled toward the vanishing point.

New Blog

This is the first post of MorrowArt, a blog solely dedicated to art created during Art 1-2. Over the course of the school year, many photos of art will be displayed on the blog. Hopefully the lack of artistic ability will not be overly apparent.
